Cookie Lifetime Reference
| Cookie Name | HttpOnly | Measured Lifetime | Purpose & Significance |
|---|---|---|---|
| hatch_sess | Yes | ~30 days | Primary authentication session token. |
| hatch_vml | Yes | ~2 days | Short-lived VM verification token. Governs account lifespan. |
| hatch_gw | Yes | ~1 year | Optional gateway route caching identifier. |
| hatch_native_auth_device | Yes | ~30 days | Client device fingerprint. |
Account Lifespan Notice: The session validity is determined by the shortest core token (
hatch_vml), which expires in approximately 2 days. The background keepalive system silently renews active tokens periodically.

Security & API Key Management
Regenerating the API Key will invalidate the current key immediately. All downstream clients must be updated with the new key.
